Love. Acceptance. Within.

To know thyself. To love thyself. 

The Way. 

One day a man who was feeling kind of empty and unfulfilled in his life was taking a walk. As he walked, he wasn’t really paying much attention to where he was going. Time went by. Eventually he grew weary and stopped to take a rest. 

As he rested he glanced up and noticed a man standing near a beautiful lake wearing robes. He couldn’t help but notice that this man looked like the Buddha. So he walked over and asked,“Excuse me sir, but I have to ask, are you the Buddha?” The Buddha gave a gentle smile and nodded. 

“Oh my gosh, can you please help me?” the man asked. Then took a deep breath and said, “I wish for a life with abundance, joy, good health, and the freedom to live my life as I wish.” The Buddha raised his eyebrows, smiled, and then said, “Just beyond the mountain peak you see before you is where you will find the answers that you are looking for. You will find The Way.”

The Buddha then gave a big smile and said, “Take these seeds and plant them along The Way. Be sure to give them lots of nourishment and love. You will need to cultivate your seeds everyday. Remember to give the seeds lots of love.” 

The man gave a disappointed look and then said, “Seeds? Lots of love? You mean you want me to take The Way and walk beyond the mountain, plant all of these seeds, plus give them love and nourishment? That will take too much time! I thought you said you could help me.” And then he walked away. 

Just as the man walked away a young woman came and stood in front of the Buddha. She said, “Excuse me your grace, sorry to bother you, but I couldn’t help overhearing your conversation. Uh, would those seeds work for me?” The Buddha replied, “Yes, the seeds are always available for anyone who is ready to receive them.” 

“And all I have to do is follow the path and go beyond the mountain to find The Way,” she related. “And to also plant these seeds, give them love and nourishment, and be sure to cultivate them everyday?” The Buddha smiled and gave a gentle nod. “Thank you, my grace! I would love to have the seeds. The journey, The Way, as you called it, sounds amazing and I can’t wait to take my first step towards the life I have always imagined.”

The moral of this story: Your seeds of greatness to the marvelous life that you have always wanted already lies within you. 

Focus on the things that truly matter in your life and follow the path in your heart. Remember, your seeds are from a higher source and have all the necessary nutrients to help you live the incredible life that you have always imagined.
